The burnt lot
A house was destroyed by fire in 1728 at this location. It was not rebuilt until decades later, thus giving the spot the name "Brända tomten", "The burnt lot". Today it is a beautiful spot any time of the year, but especially in summer when you can sit "under the chestnut" literally and have a coffee. "Under kastanjen" is the name of the cafe on the site, taking it's name from the huge chestnut tree growing there.
